Wouldn’t a nice iced tea taste good right about now? Snapple has promised to bring the best ingredients and taste to thirsty folks since it was created in Greenwich Village in 1972, and has recently opened the Snapple Theater Center in Times Square to “enrich the lives” of local residents and visitors. A subsidiary of London-based Cadbury Schweppes, along with sister-brands Dr. Pepper and 7-Up, Snapple is currently up for grabs as numerous buyout firms consider a takeover. Many financial observers speculate that after a buyout, Snapple might be sold separately to Coca-Cola so that “New York’s Official Iced Tea” would be based in Atlanta.
