Purchased earlier this year by SPG Partners—which also owns a wireless network, a crane manufacturer and a concrete maker—the new CEO has decided to move Tasti-D-Lite’s base to Cool Springs, Tennessee. His plan is to turn the brand into a “mega franchise.” Employees we talked to earned between $8-$9 an hour.
